This is my newest creation. It's been a while since I've made anything, I know, but I've been super busy with homework. If you're wondering how I got the images to be so much clearer than the other ones have been, it's because I borrowed a lexmark x1100 scanner from my parents. It's only got up to 300dpi but it's still perfect for doing jewelry photog, as you can see. I hope you enjoy my latest creation. It's currently for sale here.

Latest Items on Sale at Coven Space!

So my first two bracelets are up on sale at the Coven Space auction site. If you're not familiar with the auction site it's a lot like Ebay but it's got Etsy rules - you can only sell hand-crafted items, although we've broadened the term to include herbs, soaps, crystals, and pretty much anything else you can do yourself without the help of a production line or employees. There are some amazing things on sale there right now too, but you've got to be a member to make any purchases.

My First Completed Project!

My very first project has been completed and is currently on sale! You have to be a member of Coven Space to participate in the market, but that's easy enough. You can register here.

My project was a 4 strand bracelet using mixed glass beads, Beadalon Supplemax monofilament, pewter cones, eyepins, crimp beads, and a pewter clasp. It was definitely an adventure fixing all the findings onto the ends, as I'd never done that before. It worked!

I'm sorry the images are blurry - they were taken with the camera on my phone. When my camera gets back from its camping trip it will get back to work and take some better images of this awesome bracelet.

Learning and Learning and Learning

I'm teaching myself how to make beaded jewelry, and I'm most likely going about it the wrong way, and that's ok. I'm having fun!

My latest idea is a choker with a cameo focal point and a matching cuff-style bracelet. I'm planning on using these items from Fire Mountain Gems (each image is a link to the original product listing on the website) :








I'm planning on setting the cameo into the focal bezel, then doing a three-strand choker alternating the black beads and the red beads, using a spacer bar ever so often to keep the strands separated. The bracelet will also be a three strand project and will mimic the choker by alternating the beads, using the spacer bars, and will use the same clasp.

I'm very excited about this project! I've loved cameos since I was a little girl, and now that I've found out all you need is a bit of jewelers' glue, I'll be making tons of them!
